Uma exposição que reúne as últimas séries de trabalhos de pintura do artista Luís Rodrigues. Natural de Torres Novas, Luís Rodrigues decide ir viver para Paris em 1967, onde termina os seus estudos em Orléans e Poitiers. Em 2014 a cidade de Avalon em França inaugura os seus três Museus, em simultâneo, numa grande mostra sobre a sua pintura, trabalhos sobre papel e cerâmicas, dando inicia um ciclo de exposições em França e Portugal. Itinerários da Memória é uma das exposições desse circuito.
An exhibition that brings together the latest series of paintings by the artist Luís Rodrigues. Born in Torres Novas, Luís Rodrigues decided to move to Paris in 1967, where he finished his studies in Orléans and Poitiers. In 2014, the city of Avalon in France opens its three Museums, simultaneously, in a large exhibition on his painting, works on paper and ceramics, starting a cycle of exhibitions in France and Portugal. Não se trata de captar um determinado momento, como acontecia com os paisagistas, mas antes do caminho percorrido pela sua concepção plástica, condensado em emoções que se traduz à superfície da tela por sobreposições de camadas, de formas escritas e de colagens, até que a pintura se transforma numa nova realidade, inesperada aquando da sua génese.
This is not to capture a particular moment, as with the landscape, but rather the path taken by its plastic design, condensed into emotions that translates to the surface of the screen by overlapping layers of written forms and collages, until the painting becomes a new reality, unexpected at its inception.
