Ale Casanova invite to explore the emotional and plastic depths hidden beneath the apparent simplicity of his works. Through his painting, Casanova immerses us in an intimate world where human figures and portraits act as windows into the complexity of the inner being. This exhibition aims to challenge us to look beyond the surface and explore emotions hidden within ourselves.

Alejandro Casanova (1981, Valencia- Espanha) estudou Belas Artes na Universidade Politécnica de Valência, onde se destacou por um brilhante currículo acadêmico. Após a licenciatura, mudou-se para Tenerife, onde continuou a sua formação em estudos de doutoramento, obtendo o Diploma de Estudos Avançados (DEA). Obteve também diversas bolsas de investigação nacionais e europeias, bem como diversas bolsas de artes plásticas. A sua primeira exposição individual teve lugar em 2005 em Valência, aos 24 anos, e desde então não deixou de participar em projetos individuais e coletivos nos quais recebeu prémios e distinções.
As principais técnicas empregadas por Casanova, como óleo e aquarela, são combinadas com a mesma intenção: explorar cor, estrutura e forma. Através de pinceladas diretas e precisas, a cor se torna um jogo onde a luz emerge como eixo central, enquanto as formas revelam a profundidade da experiência humana. Cada pintura é uma história a ser contada e uma emoção a ser transmitida.
Alejandro Casanova (1981, Valencia- Spain) studied Fine Arts at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, where he stood out for his brilliant academic curriculum. After graduating, he moved to Tenerife, where he continued his training in doctoral studies, obtaining the Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA). He also obtained several national and European research grants, as well as several fine arts grants. His first solo exhibition took place in 2005 in Valencia, at the age of 24, and since then he has continued to participate in individual and collective projects in which he has received prizes and distinctions.
The main techniques employed by Casanova, such as oil and watercolor, are combined with the same intention: to explore color, structure, and form. Through direct and precise brushstrokes, color becomes a game where light emerges as a central axis, while forms reveal the depth of the human experience. Each painting is a story to be told and an emotion to be conveyed.
